Black Balloon – New Poem

You fade away like a black balloon in the night’s sky.

Like you were never there.

Like you never cared.

At all.

Attachments cut lose.

Connections severed.

Bonds broken.

Ties undone.

Out of sight.

Out of reach.

Out of mind.

Out of touch.

A blip on the horizon.

A speck of lights in the fading daylight.

A star overtaken by the rising sun.

A feather drifting into the unknown.

Publishing update

So it’s been a few weeks since I signed my contract with The Wild Rose Press. I’ve done two rounds of editing  with my editor, which has been great. I never had an editor before, so I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s been wonderful and I learned so much. The experience will definitely help me in future when polishing my other manuscripts and when working on future books.

I also received my cover, which I will reveal here soon. I don’t have a release date just yet, but once I do I will let you know!
